Getting rid of PHPNuke!

Hi all,

I am looking to get rid of PHPNuke since it got hacked, but I need to store my users, forum posts, stories etc if possible, but have yet to find a conversion script

I am looking at Joomla but does anyone have any better alternatives?

http://www.cmsmatrix.org/ is a good place to start for some indepth research on your alternative cms. I installed Joomla just to take a look and it seemed pretty useable. I guess your final decision comes down to specific requirements, which are better answered on that website.
