getting rid of stomach and man ****?

I joined a gym neally a month ago and have been going neally every day since. I started jogging on slow speed slowly increasing the incline and speed until it got gets to about 9.5kmh and 9% incline. (This is usually about 1.5km and 10 minutes)

Then I cool down for a minute or 2 and go back to no incline and 10.5km/h, this feels like im running downhill after the incline, then I carry on going up untill about 14km/h then cool down and finish. Ive started hitting the 6km mark now, where i cool down then finish and go for a cold shower, sauna, steem room and jacuzzi :) (and swim if I can be bothered)

Will this combined with ok diet (fruit, veg, meat, cheese, load of carbs) be good for me and get rid fat or should I vary what I do like cross trainer, bike etc

I really want to be doing my own personal '5k a day' challenge :)
 
The exercise you do doesn't really matter, just as long as you are burning more calories than you are eating.

If you have access to a heart rate monitor then activity 60-70% of your maximum heart rate burns the most fat (in proportion to total calories burnt).
 
Watch what you eat and mix the cardio up a bit else it gets boring. Do an hours worth of cardio 5 times a week and it falls off IME.
 
How the hell do you have man boobs and a stomach @ 11 stone if you are 5"10! :p

About 2 yrs ago I was 11 stone and 6ft2 (well I still am 6ft2) and I was slim.
 
I'm 14 stone and 5'10" and i only have tiny man boobs!

U really need to be running at least 20 mins though to reduce boobage. Also heart rate is important, as gavster says, 60-70% of max.

The most important part is diet, so so important. You can run miles and miles per day but with a poor diet you will see little to no gains.

Depending how your body reacts it could take about 30 days of proper cardio and a good diet as you seem to not have huge huge hooters.
 
I would also get on the weights and start concentrating on bench press at varying angles this will bulk up your chest and the muscle underneath will give your chest a better shape even with a bit of man boob there.

20g a day!? How do you manage that dude? I just checked the back of a garlic bread and its 10.1g! And thats only one part of one meal! What do you eat?! :p
 
I'd suggest do weights rather than running, how could you possibly have man **** at that weight/height ratio, maybe you have a distorted image of yourself, running wont give you pecks.

Back on topic, I have similar issues and following advice on on here, I've added some interval cardio to what was essentially just resistance training together with lots of walking. I've only started the CV stuff about two weeks back (got an exercise bike online for £60 brand new and it's a quality piece of kit) and at four nights a week, 20 minute workouts, I can already see and feel the difference on my gut.

Man-boobies are being replaced with muscle-boobs.....and while I'm not after a six-pack and massive muscles, I quite enjoy the weights (got some quality York weights from Argos :)) and they're making a difference too.

I'd say just keep it up for a month and see what affect it has on you.

As for fat in diet, I don't think I could handle less than 40-60g of fat a day unless I just ate crackers all day ;)

2 tins of tuna and 2 tins of chopped tomatoes a day and u have about 1gram (if that)

edit -60grams of fat a day?! ive just had tuna, tomatoes and 3 pieces of white bread, isnt that <5g of fat?

If you don't eat enough food your body will go in to a 'starvation mode' and store fat. Therefore making it harder to burn off this 'extra baggage' and lose them moobs.

Eat healthily and regularly, combined with cardio workouts 3+ times a week and you should see results in about a months time.
