Lets you use bulb mode (user defined exposure, usually over 30s) without having to touch the camera, meaning you won't shake it and make the picture blurry.
and are you saying that the s9600 can't do an exposure of over 30s? (what's bulb mode?)
and what's wrong with just using a self timer?
So far I've just got the Raynox lense on my list, but I don't know if I should get the DCR250 or the 150 because the 250 is supposed to be hard to use.
ok, if you take a landscape, the sky will appear bluer and nicer. water will have less reflections and appear bluer. S9600 hasn't got bulb mode as far as I know, 30 secs max, but that is long enough for most things!
