Hey guys,

First off I dont really know if this is the right board or whatever, so forgive me if I got it wrong.

I want to get some light ambience going on behind my screens (preferably blue). Does anyone have any good tips on doing this? I was going to use the akasa neon strip (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-004-AK&tool=3) and plug it into a 4pin port in the PCI slots on my PC, but I was just wondering if anyone has a better solution

To be honest i think you will be better off using a cathode instead of that string.

EDIT: Will look something like in this picture i stole from the desk and room gallery.

Hmm yea. Ive got dual monitors so do you think it will be worth getting 2 tubes for each screen or just the one in the middle. I have a feeling 2 will be way too bright, but ive never used the ctubes before, so not too sure on how bright they are.

EDIT: On second thought, I might get 4 super bright LED's, and wire them up to a USB plug, that should work/look nice.

Yea, I got the single tube to see how bright it was, and then if need-be I can always get another. they are right up against the wall so it should be bright enough. I dont want like a O.O sort of glow, just a nice soft one behind the screens, mainly to look good lol.

EDIT: Judging by this pic 1 will be all I need o.O

PS: I stole that out of the room thread - its not mine (yet :P)
