The girlfriend has come up with an idea that seems pretty unique and she's looking at doing something about it. So far she has spoken to 'Innovate Product Design' and they've told her that it's not really their field of expertise (they deal in products, her idea is more of a service). Anyone got any ideas where she could go next?

wouldnt have thought you could patent a service
You can patent processes if they meet certain criteria.
again, unless you can market it as a product which involves a certain process (which is the service)..i would have thought you're going to struggle to get a patent..

She is finding it quite hard to make any progress with it - basically hits walls because it's a service rather than a product.

They will be aware of many Patent service companies because they'll work with them to get products placed within Industry.
Hopefully they can steer you away from the fraudsters and assist you in getting your service patented.
