Getting Started with Drupal

Hi all,

I am looking to start using drupal for some sites I have to build.

I generally use Wordpress when I need to created a content managed site, however these sites would probably be pushing the limits of what wordpress can do as a CMS. eg, there are going to be a large amount of pages with nested subpages, a lot of uploaded documents etc.

So being a complete noob with drupal, where can I go to find information and resources about getting started with developing sites using Drupal?

Any help would be much appreciated

If you have a read around you'd be surprised what you can achieve with Wordpress as a CMS.

Oh I know what Wordpress can achieve as a CMS.

Currently rebuilding a site with other 10000 posts in it as articles, which wordpress is fine for.

Our client has just found wordpress is not suitable for what they need to achieve, so we're trying to investigate drupal and ee etc. Drupal is looking good so far, I just need some articles or screencasts to see if the potential is there.
