Getting stereo code?

For christmas i bought the old girl a CD player for her car.

However this how now broken. Having sent back the CD player I need to put back the cassette player.

It's a standard Vauxhall Philips 400 stereo.

How would I go about getting the code? Is the dealer the only way? (Hi £25 charge!)

If you ring the dealer that the car was originally bought from they may have it on record.

I know a lot of garages do this.

Look in the manual for the car, it may be in there or on a bit of paper in it or something.

Have a look in the yellow pages, there are a lot of mobile guys who will do it cheaper than a dealer, they can often do it over the phone for certains brands based on the serial number.
