Getting the fans to work?

Hey, just on the last bit of my new build, I can't seem to get the white LED front fans (there's two) on my corsair carbide 400r to work, mainly because I'm not sure what to connect it to.
Here's the front of the case where the fans are:

Both fans attach to this first:

Then this is the connector (in my hand):

It does fit into one of the extra molex connectors that came with the PSU, but on the other side of the Molex connector is a black 8pin PCIe connector (I think!) whereas my PSU only has space for two six pins left. There is an 8 pin there but it's blue and doesn't fit.

Unless it's meant to connect to the motherboard?

Thanks,
By the way I have a Gigabyte Ga z77 d3h motherboard

Thought I cracked it just now as it fits this to connect to the system fan on the motherboard - but they don't run when I power the machine up. Not sure if I have to initialise it some way? I could see nothing in the bios

That last cable is a Floppy drive connector to Molex adaptor and isn't used for fans usually. Apart from floppies they are used on PCI-e sound cards and could be used on other things such as older fan controllers.

The Molex in the third image seems to be a pass through Molex which I've seen used on a lot of fans.

Not quite sure what the connector in the second image is used for but might be to do with the LEDs or some form of fan control. I'm not familiar with the 400R so you might need to check your manual for details on that.
