Hmm... been stewing for a couple of months over components.. am due to order by monday as I want to get my new rig together... Ive had an Opty 146 CABNE sat here for 2 months now collecting dust!!!

Due to the overclocking potential of this cpu... I was going to go for the DFI Expert... however, it does seem a bit overkill, and an enthusiast board to the extreme... Im not looking to strangle every last mhz out of a system, just push the Opty to the max, and hopefully a stable 2.8ghz...

I was interested in the 2gb Ballistix, until I heard about all the failures, so I found the Mushkin XP Redline PC4000 to be next best IMO...and seem to have great reviews from every site I have seen them on... tight timings at DDR400, and capable of pushing in excess of 280mhz with looser timings...

Do I really need an Expert, or would the likes of the Asus A8N32, or MSI Diamon Plus satisfy my basi overclocking needs...?????
