sometimes my new pc i just built comes up with this on startup and just seems to be hanging but working away if you know what i mean...

"client mac addr: 00 30 1b 45 70 6c. 00000000 - 0000 -0807- DHCP .................... /"

( the " / " on the end of the msg is spinning like it's trying to do something)

If i reboot the computer boots up into windows xp. My PC is a sn68ptg5 shuttle using sata for the HD and DVD drive with a 9600GT gcard and a x2 64 500 AMD chip. Bios is unchanged and no overclock. any idea?

You may have disabled LAN boot in the boot order but it may still be turned on elsewhere in the BIOS. I know the machines at my work place will still try and LAN boot if the LAN boot is enabled but turned off in the boot order.

the msg would not always come on, so time will tell, however i did disable 'try other boot devices' so i'm hopfull!
