Getting to that time of upgrading

Hi Folks!

Getting to that time where I need to think about upgrades:

My current specs are:

i9-9900k CPU 3.60 Ghz
MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon (MOBO)
32GB Ram
Corsair 750 Watt PSU

I don't have a budget per se yet as I am collating requirements still but looking in the range of £2,500 for suggestions on potential upgrades.

I want to upgrade to a 4090, but unsure if it is worth waiting for the 5000 series as there is talk about them being far more efficient and better. I also want to swap out my CPU for an AMD model and understand I will need to find an AMD compatible board too - happy to take recommendations on those but will I need to substitute for anything else AMD compatible?

Unsure if I need a new PSU too.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, sorry for the absence! Just life getting in the way.

I've had to sink some money into house repairs + care for my mother. Looking at a cheap upgrade if possible if £2000 max as a budget baring in mind above specs.

Is it as simple as just picking up a 4090 or are there upgrades for CPU + RAM I can loop in?

Tetras sorry, that's my fault. It's been an up and down day - just know I very much appreciate the advice offered a lot.

Do you have any potential suggestions on a MOBO to match a 4090?

So my current GPU is a 3090 Super and I am wanting to upgrade to 4090 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/gain...dr6x-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-20l-gw.html (I think this was my earliest find)

I presume I don't need to upgrade RAM as that may remain consistent irrespective of the model I use? (https://www.amazon.co.uk/G-SKILL-F4-3200C16D-16GTZR-Trident-PC4-25600-Channel/dp/B01MTDEYHU - my current models)
