This has probably been on here many times but my mate mentioned this to me. Just ring up Vodafone and request a pac code because you want to go to o2 pay as you go.
Conversation went like this.
ME : "Hi there can I request my pac code please"
VO : "Ok sir, would you like it through the post?" << Fake follow through
ME : "Yes please that would be great"
VO : "Ok we can do that......."
ME : "Ok thanks"
VO : "Could I just ask why you want to leave vodafone?"
ME : "It's too expensive, Pay as you go would suit me better. O2 better at payg"
VO : "Well we do have a special deal for our executive customers.."
ME : "OH REALLY
????"
VO : "12 months at £9.99 instead of you paying £27/month"
So I'm happy now and he let me still upgrade my phone. He said I could only upgrade through the guy on the phone as the shop wouldn't put me on the £9.99 deal. Good stuff eh If you don't ask you will never get.
