Ok, My friends given me some music, I've put it from his PC onto my iPod. Now, how do i get it from my iPod onto my PC?

I'm using iTunes!

thanks

Greg

You can't using iTunes, you need to get winamp 5.13 and ml_ipod plugin, then you can take off songs from the iPod.

Or....

Use the USB2 cable to plug the iPod to the PC, enable hidden files and folders and in one of the iPod folders there will be a 'hidden' folder with all the music in it, but all the file names will be all messed up, but still playable.

Go for method one ^^ :o

t3h

I use a program called SharePod. It's small and simple and you run it off the iPod itself so you'll always have it no matter what PC it's on.

Do ipods use a special format or can you just move mp3 to a ipod and then play them on the move? Friends girlfriend has the small plain white one and has win ME so cant use the software. I thought you could just plug the ipod in and drag and drop mp3 in to the ipod u see to play them when disconected from pc but when she tryed it we couldnt get any sound from it.

Any ideas?

If you wan to drag and drop to an ipod within internet explorer, then you'll need something like Anapod which is a windows shell extension and mounts the ipod as a normal volume so you can drag and drop to the ipod.

You can also use anapod to get music off an iPod. However, its not free, but well worth the money imo.
