Getting TV out to work...

I will give you a run down of my hardware before anything else:

Gigabyte Nvidia 6600GT
Svideo Cable
Panasonic 28" CRT (SD)

Now, I have never really been able to get TV out to funtion properly which is a shame as all the cabling is neatly installed and it's better to watch a video on the TV than the TFT.

I do not want to use the TV for PC usage, just video playback.

I have tried loads of combination of settings but the problem I currently get is corrupted output on the TV.

Using the video overlay settings seem to make the video being played with WMP appear on the TV but two very small tiled images on the right hand of the screen with a flickering green bar across the bottom.

Please advise on the best way of setting it up. Has TV out always been problematic?

I assume the TV is detected on booting up and you have extended your desktop onto your TV (as opposed to cloneing).

Try runing another media player because WMP always gives me grief playing back video (particularly when it is using the nVidia pure video codec).

Also consider setting the output to the TV to 720*576 in the custom resolution section of the control panel as this is the native resolution of PAL TVs
