I get fed up opening different folders and them all displaying in different views.

I prefer the "Tiles" view, is there something I can do to force Vista to open every folder in the same view for each and every one?.

Thanks.

Set it how you want it, then:

Organise -> Folder options -> View -> Apply to folders

You may need to do it a couple of times for the other folder types, but it works because that's how I do it after a reinstall.

Is there any way of forcing it to remember this? It seems to forget after a few folders.

there is a way to force windows to use a template for every folder , otherwise different media types will force a new window template. pic in video folder will make folder a pic orientated folder etc.

goto organise> properties and tab over to customise and select what template to force all folders. i just use the documents template for all folders

Yeah, The problem is that Windows can only store folder customisations for a certain number of folders. Beyond that it starts to forget them. I'll try those registry fixes though, thanks running man.
