Getting weird phone calls to the house

Im getting wierd phone calls to the house.

Ring ring
Me: "hello"
Them: "........"
Me: "HELLOO"
Them: "Good Bye" (not real voice, a lady voice, machine operated or something.)

Happened 3 times in the last hour...

It's probably a call centre - they dial batches of numbers, then allocate them to the next available operator when you pick up.

If there's no one available to take "your" call, it usually just hangs up on you - perhaps this is the next step forward - plus it identifies your number as live to the system.
