Hey,

Recently upgraded to Windows 10, never updated my GPU drivers (guessing W10 did that for me), every game ran fine up to that point, until I joined the battlefront beta, which required the latest drivers, 358.80 to get the game started. I upgraded and the beta seemed to run fine. When beta was over, went back to BF4, but I am now getting on average 20 to 25fps less with exact same settings. Dropped from almost solid 60fps down to 35-40fps, making the game almost unplayable. Even dropping resolution, down from 1440p to 1080p, I only gained on average 10fps somehow... GPU utilization is 99% maxed out during gameplay.

Can't even downgrade now, due do not knowing what were my older drivers, unless I spend the whole day doing trial & error downloading numerous drivers. I did try 3 other drivers, all resulting with the same performance more or less.

Can't explain how I have managed to lose nearly 50% of performance while using the same settings.

Anyone else having the same issue? Any possible fix for this?

Thanks.

Which gpu?

Have you reinstalled 358.50 and select clean install?

GTX660. Yes I did a clean install.

I found out what the problem is now. GPU core clock maxes out at 549mhz instead of the normal base clock of 1046mhz. I tried multiple games now, same problem across all of them.

I just tried to manually overclock it, but the GPU is not moving past 549mhz. Weird.

What have you got the power management mode in NCP set to?

If adaptive try "prefer maximum performance".

Managed to fix it now. Uninstalled 358.80 and let W10 install the drivers automatically (353.82) and it works fine now. Must have been a weird bug or something.

Thanks for the help guys :D
