GF wants me to go to church with her......

Girl friend wants me to go to church her occasionally (once a month), it's a local Pentecostal church, I wouldn't mind if it was a 'regular' church, I'd pop in with her now and again but this a Pentecostal church and is crazy strict with their rules and they push you hard to try and bring you into their 'flock', I don't mind the Bible but I am dead against these types of places, only the other day a guy got chucked out because he was a known 'spiritualist'.

Is it unreasonable for me to flat out refuse to go?

What would you do if your partner/gf asked?

Shouting out allahu akbar at random intervals will help speed the process up

That would be fine but that would mean she would also be dispelled from the church, according to their rules her partner has to be a Christian for her to stay being a member, it's a ****ing crazy nut place.

Can't you look at like an opportunity. If you aren't really that interested have some fun:

Speak a better language that everyone else in tongues - I recommend Zulu or Ancient Mayan
Be the best clapper and prove it with a dB reading
Have the best tamborine - extra points for snazzy decorations

I will note that she isn't super into Christianity herself but she likes the social aspect of it and has made friends there, although tbh I would use the word 'friends' loosely, the place has a large cafe attached to the church and she used to volunteer there.

Say no on the basis you will probably get her kicked out saying the wrong thing. Although i do think that shes trying to get you into it like the church would too. Shes part of it, in tern she will make you part of it.
