GfW issues - thinks Im a child...

Hi Guys,

Just creating a GfW login while I remembered and Ive stupidly put 2009 as the year of my birth as I wasnt paying attention. It now thinks Im a child and needed parental verification (needed another Windows Live email address and CC details to verify age).

So Ive now done all that and think I have a GfW account - but its now asking me to setup parental settings.

Anyway I can email someone in MS just so I can change my year of birth? Or there must be somewhere I can get this changed...

Amazingly its the only thing MS cant change and the only way to fix it is to have a new gamertag which unfortunately means a whole new email address just for this service.

I don't know what's worse - the fact that you can't change it or the fact that it let you register as a one year old gamer in the first place

It's amazing you had the knowledge or dexterity to even enter your date of birth. Did you try emailing MS?

Not tried emailing them - cant find an email addy via this site: http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/Support/Pages/default.aspx

I did call up again and got the same response and since both my email addresses now have Windows Live accounts (one with a Gamertag too) I kinda cant do much without starting all over again.

I did setup all the parental filters to allow my 'child' to do everything but the concern I had is when I play something like GTA 4 it may kick in some restrictions

My own fault for doing a few things at once (least I changed my Steam email address and got it verified correctly - erm the second time that is)

One of my friends registered a game to someone elses steam account. That was pretty bad lol.

I asked and they said no they cant - I guess they can but the Gamertag wouldnt be available again (same as my PSN one).

Anyway its only for GfW games so not that worried - if it comes a bore Ill just have to do one from scratch...
