GFWL and reinstalling windows

ok what happens in respect to this. i no way want to lost my dead rising 2 saves which are tied to my online GFWL.

i've downloaded game save manager which appears to save the GFWL data but i want to be 100% sure before i even think of reinstalling windows. if i lose my dead rising 2 data i think i will have to weep a lot

Look for the save data folder & back them up manually as well. The folder name should be the same as your gamertag. The only file you need to backup is: "DR2SAVE.DR2S"

The only GFWL games I know of which you cannot restore save games on after a new OS install are:

Halo 2
Gears Of War
Street Fighter4
Lost Planet Extreme Colonies

This is because the developer (not MS or GFWL) chose to encrypt the save games to match the OS install & prevent game hacking/cheating!

One handy program is Game Saver Manager to backup and restore your saved games.

Lol.

You could always test it with another game but if its saved the GFWL data with it then i'd trust it to work fine.

Yup all re-installed and working great, game save manager is a great piece of software
