Ok a common problem I know but I have to ask here to the pros
I'm currently running Vista SP1 x64 I have .Net framework fully up to date. C++ redis up to date. Graphics drivers up to date. Chipset up to date. My HDD has recently just been re-formatted and re-installed Vista x64.
My problem I bought the dirty flithy cheap as chips GTA IV for 9.99 yday. Now I noticed before hand that apprently I need Games for windows live client installed to get the rockstar social club thingy to work.
(I tried installing GTA on its own. It didnt work died a horrible death and thus I uninstalled it and removed all traces that it ever exisited)
So I thought I shall start from the start. I'l install Games for windows live client and check that works. So I pop along to the wonderful windows website and download the latest gfwl client 2.0. I install it all goes well.
I then click to open the client and it just comes up with the evil EVIL error message from windows saying "gfwl has encounter a problem and will now close
. Thats it... no reason as to why or anything.
I am at a loss I have browsed google and tried a few methods and still no luck. One of the main probs while looking for a solution is that a lot of people was refering to XP SP3 or a x32 ver of windows.
I was hoping anyone might have some info or ways you got around this.
