Recently I changed my password on my windows live account. This was because it was a simple word and was pretty unsecure.

So I changed it to something a bit more complicated and I have remembered it. So I can sign into my hotmal, Games market place on the web browser and on my Xbox 360.

However I can not sign into Games for Windows Live and Marketplace that is installed on my PC.

I get this message:

Can't sign in. The Windows Live ID or password you entered is not valid. Enter your information and sign in again.

Code: 80048821

Now I have uninstalled the software and cleaned the registry and downloaded it again and tried again but no luck. I deleted my profile that was on my PC already but once again no luck. Now the funny thing is I changed my password to a different more simple word, this time it logged in :confused:

So I changed the password back to the one before which I am happy with, I thought it would work this time, well no... Get the same message :confused: Tried another password once again it's working... Changed it back no it does not WTF! Basically it's a 8 digit password contains 2 Upper case, 2 lower case, 2 numbers and > and *.

Now I am wondering why it does not like this password? It works on my Xbox 360 and hotmail and even the marketplace and xbox.com on the web browser. Normally this would make me think the software was messing up but different passwords work :confused:

I am very confused here...
 
I've sorted it by changing the password to another one which I like. Really odd that it does not like that one particular password.
