Games for windows live, any way to switch this useless piece of steaming **** off?
Just got batman archam city and asylem but every time i get an achievement the games crash due to this poorly coded mess of a front end.

There are bypasses for Asylum but Arkham City requires GFWL to save so if you use the bypass you won't be able to save your progress.

Personally I think Microsoft should be made to go back and fix the client properly or patch it out. It's well documented that the whole thing is an absolute mess. Of course AWPC will be along in a minute to tell me it's all rubbish (he's a nice chap really, just confused

).

No you just create an offline profile and thats the last time you should have to see gfwl

Yeah you can use an offline profile to play if you like. It's just that with AC you can't forego installing the client unless you don't want to be able to save.
