Honestly, will I be wasting £500+ on the ASUS 5970?

I'm upgrading my PC for a near future MMO which is due for public release at the end of September, looks like it will be quite demanding.

I will be playing pretty much just this game, though I might fire up some FPS like BC2/MW2 etc.

Will need to be able to play at 1920x1080 res on a 50" plasma, ideally with x2 aa x16 af but I might not need it with my distance and large screen.

Just wondering if I should wait or get something cheaper and save some money? Do you think prices will come down at all? Also is there any new tech due this year?

Yeah I've just done some reading around and checked the Guru3D review for the HIS iCooler V ATI Radeon HD 5850 which seems like its been improved to overclock well to near 5870 speeds!
