Hi guys, how's it going?

I'm about to buy a new mobo, cpu, ram and psu. I think I know what I'm getting but I've stumbled across some more cash and wanted some advice.

I've currently got a 9800 GTX+ (1GB) and I'm looking to upgrade (if I actually need to). I had a look through the 470 series and i could afford any of them with the money I've got. would it be worth it and would i notice the difference?

Thanks for any help guys, much appreciated!
:)

wow, so significantly better than the 8800. as you say though, not 100% accurate. i don't NEED the upgrade but i don't see why not, i'm selling my current setup and if that goes i lose the gfx card :(

see if I'm honest I've never paid attention to ATI. not for any particular fanboy reason, I've just naturally gone with Nvidia (and Intel).

Are there any particular differences I should take note of?

thanks

If you're happy with nvidia then of course there's nothing wrong with that.

Imo if you game at very high resolutions (over 1920x1200) then I would suggest the 6950, it has 2gb of vram. However, most people don't, so in that case it becomes more a throw of a coin.

I've literally just randomly googled a review, check it out, and have a look around at others to compare for consistency. :)

Have a look on youtube as well, I have found 'linus tech tips' useful.
