Not sure if this is correct section or if it should be in the water cooling section but here goes. After a few days trying to decide what gfx card to get I decided on this one
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-178-GW&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1750

Now after doing a lot of research according to ek cooling configurator this card has an nvidia ref design board and is compatible with there fc 770 water blocks.

however 5ub has advised me that ocuk dont stock any ref design 770s which makes me wonder have I just wasted cash buying both, and will they accept a return if I dismantle gfx card and find out the block is in compatible

5Ub was probably refering to "reference" cards that includes the reference cooler.

The EK site does indeed say that Gainward has a block listed, the model number (2944) all match up.

It says in description that those are for the custom pcb from palit and gainward, phantom etc, whereas the one I ordered was a standard ref pcb.

I may he wrong there tho but I used the product id ek gave me on cooling configurator

So have it,

Select GFX card, make, manufacturer then the model with the same model code (2944) click next and it brings up a page with a list of compatible blocks.
