GFX card died time for new stuff!

Hello,

So my gtx 580 phantom 3gb has died this morning have white lines on bootup (bios and in windows) tried everything from reinstalling drivers and formating hdd and windows still no go.

I believe its time for me to move on and get new parts but i need some help.

I am thinking of getting this bundle cpu+mobo and ram

Would these parts work well together? I don't need a new psu since i will be using my old one a 1200 Watt supply and 2 x1tb hdd.

Though if you know of a cheap solid state hdd that be kwl.

Oh god I made this mistake once already with a power supply which I said was horrid and was really good :D

I've been looking up Tagan PSU's recently and so far havent been able to find out what OEM they use however a lot of people are saying they are OK but nowhere near the best and its luck of the draw if you get a bad one.

Will check out Johny Guru on that individual model.

Well sir i have had this computer since 2008 i got it from cyberpower uk already built..

I had 2 X 4870 X2 watercoolin they both failed after a year and got em replaced then failed again. Then i decided to get a GTX 580 in march in 2011 then that failed yesterday..

It seems to me the whole computer is cursed and does not like graphics cards or i am a hardcore gamer gone to the next level xD

I7 920 is what i got atm and the motherboard can't take any higher cpus so its worth me getting a whole new set.

Cheers just saw the reviews by Johny and he says they are made by 2 brands top power and another one. The other one got a performance score of 5 / 10 with overall score 6.5 / 10 and the Top power one got a 8.5 / 10 for overall performance which isnt bad.

What is the performance like between the 670 and 680? i mean i know there is a price difference for for £50 extra i could get that EVGA 680 that is on offer for £399

That is a nice cpu cooler abit more bulkier then my Prolimatech Megahalems Rev C CPU Cooler
 
yeh id be tempted by that 680 too
you can oc a 670 to 680 level, but then u can oc a 680 too
but then if u rly wanted oc ud go ati card blah blah

i pick that card bcos i think its reliable^^
and yeh u could re-use that old cooler? i like top down bcos it cools all the parts
