GFX Card For My New Build

I'm still choosing which parts I'll use for my new build, but I know I want an AMD CPU. I'm leaning towards the Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition and a good quality, £150(ish), ATX motherboard to go with it. Next up is the GFX card and this is the bit which starts getting me confused. I'm not really bothered about the whole Nvidia vs AMD debate and - to be fair - I think AMD might be a better option as my CPU will be AMD? I don't know if that's a 'thing'. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent GPU for my build specs?

I'm willing to spend around £150 on the GFX card itself because I want it to perform quite well. Ultra settings on AAA titles doesn't bother me because I don't play things like Battlefield, but I do want the option of playing those types of games with decent graphics should a new AAA title come out that I like the look of. It will have to be able to run SWTOR which I can't see being a problem since I'm currently playing it on a laptop with a GT 750m without any issues.

I don't know what the "members market" is?

MM is the area that you can buy, sell and swap components, consoles etc from once you have been a member on the forums for a certain amount of time and/or got enough posts!

look at the r9 280x.. can get them for around 150 on a good day maybe.. or the standard 280 which I have is around that price range too... go great with the AMD cpus

I don't think it's a wise idea to invest £150 in a motherboard. Most motherboards from well known companies offer more or less the same features, and reliability wise they are close. If you are happy to trim down your motherboard budget to about £100, you can get one of these two:

or

And this would give you £200, for your graphics card, which you can use to buy an R9 280x, which will play any game at 1080p and high settings.

Regarding AMD vs Nvidia for graphics cards, the brand of your CPU should not play a part in the component selection.
