Does anyone know how we stand if a gfx card will not fold the 57xx units but performs perfectly well in every other case ie ATI Tool, 3D Mark and games.
I have such a card and have tried using different Nvidia drivers and even underclocking but it still fails with the 57xx WUs.
I moved the card to a different system yesterday and it completed one 5752 and one 5767 but then failed on 5749, 5759, 5759, 5759, 5759. After reading threads on the F@H forum I see there have been many people having these problems.
As I have tried the card in two systems one Intel and one AMD I am guessing it is the card as Stanford dont think the problem lies with them. So I am wondering if I can RMA the card based on it not being able to fold.

That's a tricky one, I doubt anyone will have tried it?

I dont see why you couldn't argue that it's not doing what you purchased it for. Nvidia have an official stable release of their CUDA drivers and advertise the technology as such. They have a list of graphics cards that support CUDA here.

However I expect the argument might go something like; There's nothing wrong with the card, it's the program your trying to run.

They might suggest running a GPU stress test, but by the sounds of it, it will probably pass. Is it not more likely that there's something wrong with the 5 series WU's at Stanford's end seeing as most other WU's fold fine, particularly seeing as other are also having a similar problem?

I think you'll find that there are some dodgy Wu's out there in the 57xx series.
There is more info on the folding forum.
With me the 384 points are OK some 353's finish OK but others EUE & most of the new 420 pointers do not complete either EUE, nans detected, or Unstable machine. 5763 +64 didn'rt get past 14%
I thought the Pande group were looking into the problem.
Have just installed latest drivers[ 182.08]& that seems to have helped a bit.
Had as this hassle since mid Jan. Also get the display driver has stopped working in Vista x64 Home Premium.
