Hi all

Just thort I'd post to say my GFX cards broken :(

It's a powercolor x800gt and the fans broke on it, is there anyway (without spending money funds are low atm) to fix it?

I was thinking a bit of super duper glue on the fan to stick it down, but with the temps it'll probably melt anyway (the glue).

I'm on Integrated gfx atm so i can use the pc but not game on it :(

If the fan no longer works then there's really only one way to fix it and that will be buying a new cooler.

Yeah that's what I thought.

can anybody spec me one that would fit please?

Edit: the fan spins but its loose :(

Just stick a fan next to it, no big deal. Many graphics cards will run passive anyway if the case is cooled properly. Atitool will give you a temp in your tray next to the time and ati cards will actually display this info inside any game in realtime. 70c would be fine for example

Was also thinking this opening the side panel and then stick a fan on full whack :p

zip ties?

tbh I dont think that'll work :(

I think if it did come down to paying £25 on a new cooler i would prefer to spend £75 on an x1950pro

can pick up an arctic cooling silencer for about a tenner... they are pretty good at keeping cards cool... admittedly, the zalman REALLY keeps it cool, but the silencer will be just as good for your needs...

ok guys, just to let you know that I got myself a Zalman VF700 copper edition vga cooler which should hopefully revive the x800 and run at cooler temps :D

so the hustler will be back in action tonight
