GFX Cards Suitable For 24"/22" Monitors

I'm looking at buying a 24" or maybe a 22" widescreen, but I'm really not sure what graphics cards are in the range for running well on which size of monitor. Mostly its for games and watching films.

Currently I have an 8800GT but I'm guessing this won't be the best for a 24" monitor.

So any advice on which cards currently on the market would be good for 22" and 24" monitors?

4850 on a budget, 4870 will do more than well enough, ATi beats Nvidia in higher resolutions with respective cards.

Thanks. To be honest I wish I had bought a 4850 in the first place - just thought a night out and an 8800GT was a better option - at the time

Hes right. Its the best card out since ive been pc gaming for what it does Vs price.

Also if you shop around you can get 4870 for around £150-£160 delivered

I agree, I've got a 4870 with a 22" and very happy with it, best bang for buck!

4850 or 4870 512 / 1gb, or the 9800gtx+ / 260 gtx 216 cores.

tbh my 8800GT is standing up quite well at 1920x1200 in a dual monitor set up
avg 80+fps in cod:waw

Maybe I can get a monitor first then see how it goes. Dont think Warhammer online is too demanding and the only fps I play is Left 4 Dead occasionally so its not like it needs to be lightning speeds!
