Hi Guys

I have a Zalman VF700-AlCu sat on my 7900GS and I currently have the fan power attached to a fan controller on the front of my case.

Now I want to have the GFX Card to control the Zalman fan speed itself. The fan for the Zalman is a 3 pin but on the GFX its only a 2 pin.

How would I do this so the fan speed would be altered on its own without having to manually adjust it?

Your help is appreaciated :)

The only solution I could think of is a 3 pin-2 pin adapter.
If it is only a 2 pin socket on the GFX card I don't know if it would be able control the fan speed. I think you need 3 pins to do that.

I was thinking that as the 3rd pin is for thermal control so I suppose unless I get a digital fan controller for the drive bay then i'm pretty well buggered.

How about putting the 3 pin onto the motherboard and letting that control the fan - as the system gets hotter the fan should speed up

Trouble with that would be the case temps deciding what the fan speed would do. I have 2x 80mm fans on the side and 3x120mm fans front, back and top. The temps inside the case are not nearly as hot as what the gfx would get to when gaming.
