I'm sure a few have used after market coolers, what are your opinion on them? The review of the GTX 460 I have told me it should be to noisy....but it is, its all I can hear in my rig at night and it is driving me mad.

How easy are these things to fit and do they make a big difference to the noise?

yes they do make a big difference. Often when I have used Arctic Cooling ones the temps have dropped by 10c in idle and load.

For instance I've just replaced my reference 570 cooler with the Zalman V3000F and my load temps have gone from 74c to 64c in games.

Thing is with GTX 460 some of the coolers are excellent, ie MSI ones. The early Palit ones were really loud but these were fixed by updated BIOS with a new fan profile.

Which one have you ?
