GFX crashing

i am having some probs with my gfx not sure if its the card or something else
seems to only happen playing games WoW and Cod4
all runs fine then screen locks and pc needs to be restarted

system event viewer shows ati2mtag error
i also get some times VPU recovery has reset your gfx accelerator

the card is an ati X800xtpe @ default speeds
m/b is msi neo plat with amd 3200+

i tryed uninstalling old ati drivers useing driver cleaner and tryed latest ati's
had still same probs so i tryed the latest Omega drivers and still getting the same thing

any help be much appreciated

sometimes it sets my desktop to 16bit instead of 32

I had this on an old x800xt i bought to put into someones build for them. Fixed it by using an older driver, like 6.3 or something. Give that a try.
