I have the following spec

6300 @ stock
Abit mobo
2gb ddr
x1950gt

Now the graphics is fine when just normal stuff but as soon as i start a game or 3dmark my pc crash's and i have to restart. I took out the card and tryed onboard and everything is fine although was artifacts in the walls abit

The psu is a Winpower 550w and has 2 12v rails of 18 each and it has been fine for the past week or so and has been powering this card and got 9300 in 3dmark05 and plays all the games.

The only thing which has changed is i upgraded to the latest ati driver? could this be the caus of the problem?

Well i would have thought so, revert back to your old drivers.

EDIT: Check your temps.

Down load Catalyst Control Centre and you will be able to monitor the temps of the card.

Is the fan spinning at all? - are you overclocking? (although you probably arent)

Sounds to me like your PSU isn't able to provide the increase in power required for running 3d apps.

First check all your connections to the PSU and make sure everything is securely connected.

If that doesn't help then try to get hold of another PSU and see if that fixes it.
