I have ordered a new Radeon 5870 to replace my almost new GTX275.

I want to build a second system for the family and sell the GTX275 for something more realistic for a 17" monitor.

So I need a PCI E card that will play games like LOR BFMO and some older or less demanding games.

The other option I suppose would be to swap the current card for a lesser one + cash.

Any suggestions on cards?
 
My Radeon 4850 handled LotR BFMO II well enough; and you can get a second hand one for just £50. If it's for the 17" monitor, then you'll only need a 512Mb version.
 
4670-4850 should be the best bet for what you need.

Or you could w8 for the 5700's that are rumored to be released this week or next week as i'd assume they will draw a lot less power/heat/noise.
