Why oh why does this happen?! Whenever I decide to update my graphics driver it's a pain in backside?! I've not updated my X1950 drivers for as long as I can remember. I went to the driver update page from the Caalyst control panel, put my card details in & got here;

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownlo...px?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.13&lang=English

I tried these drivers but I can't get them to install. During the installation I just get several messages informing me that something failed to initialize & then the installation ends. Tried again but got the same thing. In the end I've just gone back to the 9.11 drivers I had before. Worked a treat. But why do I alwys have this when tryin g to update drivers? Is it just me?! :confused:

As I recall last year I had issues updating my X1900XT's drivers. Are you on Windows 7 at all?

Given how cheap some DX10 cards are, it might just be worth an upgrade! :D

I'm on XP 32bit.

This is what I get when trying to install;
