GFX not detected on new build...help!

Got all component delivered on friday and finally got round to building today.

Everything working ok but I cant get the GFX working!

Nvidia drivers setup program will not detect my BFG8800XT card so wont install drivers. Ive tried reseating the card, changing the slot, swapping power cable. I get VGA display but cant install drivers. Is this a faulty card? Is it a mobo problem? Have I got incompatible stuff?

Dont know what else to do..any help appreciated.

I had this problem when I first put my system together with an 8800GT and I honestly can't remember how I fixed it. I do remember it saying it didn't detect it though even though it was there.

Try updating the drivers for your motherboard chipset, and maybe even updating the BIOS, although I don't think the BIOS update could fix it. Worth a try though.

Seem to have fixed it with combo of latest Nvidia driver package and Chipset update from Asus website. Nice one!!!

i had this problem aswell,

i had to download the latest drivers from nvidia, and also i updated the chipset drivers from the motherboard manufacturers website.
