My questions is what sort of cards should i be looking it, i have the option to run 1 card worth £90 or i can use 2 low cost cards. what would be the best plan of action, i have not been GFX shoping in a long time :P

system is old lol but with work been crap i can't rebuild.
Phenom 9500 @ 2.55
Corsair xms2 2x2GB

was running 2 ATI 1900xt's in crossfire but one died about 1 month ago and not the other is going too

EDIT: forgot to mention, pc is used for light gaiming command and conquer and so on, all heavy gamning is on PS3

Hi, thanks for the reply i will look at getting 2 4890's second hand as i will be getting a new motherboard and CPU for crimbo

If I was in your shoes, I'd just get a 2nd hand 5850 and be done with it.

Crossfire 4890 will use a lot of power, which your PSU might not be up to it. Also, it ain't gonna be much faster than an 5850 with you current CPU, and performance consistence ain't gonna be as good, and will be much hotter and lacking dx11 support.
