Normally I'd post this sort of thing in the GFX section, but since we now have a resident expert I thought I'd *drumroll* ask 8pack!

I'm trying to get my HIS 7950 stable, but no matter what I do, FC3 seems to cause issues with weird glitches and walls of textures appearing. All other games seem okay, but FC3 seems to be very demanding. It usually happens after 15mins or so, so it seems to be temperature-related. Unfortunately gpu-z reports my VRM temps as 24C constantly, so I have no idea what they are actually at, but others with the same card report no issues related to VRM temps.

Currently I'm running 1150/1500 at 1184mV/1.68V, and temps peak at 73C which should be fine. Where am I going wrong, and how can I get it stable?

It's possible that it's just a glitch with the game, but I haven't seen anyone else complaining of this kind of issue so I thought it might be gpu-related.

Initailly check if the problem is with your game or indeed your overclock.

Play at stock for a while and see if the glitching occurs then. If it does not then its obviously the clock and we can look it further.

What driver are you using.

12.11 beta 11 and cap2. I'll roll back to 12.10 just to be sure. I've had my doubts about it being my card too.

I'd still be interested to know if there's any more finesse to gfx clocking beyond bumping core/memory voltage up, if you have any pearls of wisdom to bestow upon us.
