Hi all just a quick question regarding my new ATI Radeon HD 3450 512 that i brought last week to replace my nvidia 7600gt (yes i know its old lol) anyway i got the card installed really excited and all only to find that it wont play fallout 3 on high settings even though my 7600 could I'm thinking maybe it needs a driver update or is it just not capable please guys could someone help me

Try a different driver & google your card & the game for the best driver to run it.
Hopefully there'll be a driver that pulls your performance into line.

You did clean out the old Nvid drivers before the install didn't you ?

Hi malc30 to answer your question about the drivers yes i did i uninstalled everything to do with nvidia and thank you for the welcome

Then I would try different drivers. I would try re seating the card as well, How many power leads does that card have 1 or 2.
Also talking about power, What PSU do you have & what other components are you powering with it, Have you power draw issues ?

The psu I'm using is a cit 700w the card doest come with any leads that I'm aware of

Have you tried driversweeper to uninstall the nvidia drivers - also make sure it's not present in devices in control panel.

errr, Nothing wrong with the drivers.. a 3450 is just not a 'gaming' card and won't be able to play fallout with much eye candy. Soz
But you can pick up 4670s for decent prices

As a replacement, you should have been looking at the Radeon 4670, GeForce 8800GT or Radeon 3850 really.
