Hi there,I have a Radeon X800GT which I need to upgrade as I now have a Samsung 24" TFT.

I'd like an idea of the performance increase from anyone who has gone from a similar card to a 1950, 3850 or 3870.

I've looked at the charts etc but would like a real life viewpoint.

BTW I am running a C2D E6850, 4GB ram, Corsair VX450 PSU and Vista 64bit if that makes a difference at all.

Image quality is very important also.

Cheers.

I went from a 850 XT PE to a 2900 XT now a 8800 GTS and the jump from the 850 was a big one.i got a 22" and when i sent my 2900 on a RMA (btw came back with no fault and i give it to my son) i went back to the 850 and gaming on my 22" at 1680x1050 was a joke cod4 all setting low and stil its in the red all the time (got fps up by /com drawfps 1 and they turn red when it goes under 40 i think it is).If you like AA 4get the ATI cards on your new monitor if its not a problem then the 3xxx will do ya your see i nice jump from a800 to a 1900 tbh.But with your pc its crying out for a 3xxx or a 8800 gt/gts.Of cause if you have the money.
