GH, RB, PSN, all too complicated.

I was playing GH3 round my girlfriends house the other day an decided it was time to finall jump on the band wagon.

Mostly because she beat me on an epic scale.

I also like the look of Rock Band though.

So should I go for Rock Band or Guitar Hero 3? I'd be getting it on PS3 so I'd have to import Rock Band, would there be any problems buying tracks from the US PSN for Rock Band?

Or should I wait until Guitar Hero 4 and Rock Band 2 come out and pick up one of them?

That, or Rockband 2, i personally am going for Rockband 2 due to the ammount of DLC and i dont really like the Music creator which wouldn't really come to any use to me.

September i think its coming.
 
RB2 is a timed 360 exclusive the PS3 version comes out in November in the US, UK who knows lol. Im looking forward to GHWT far more though, the drum kit and guitar are supposed to be better and look it IMO, the music creator sounds fun, and i expect any DLC for rock band will appear on GHWT via the music creator without lyrics but free. By the sounds of it everything has been improved including the jumps in difficulty and note charts in GHWT.
 
I cant see what rock band 2 has over GH4. The equipment looks leagues ahead. Hell the GH3 guitar was already better than the rock band guitar, the GH4 guitar looks amazing.

I thought that their was a lot more Downloadable content with Rockband 2, plus i really like the Rockband 2 premium drums which is the only reason i want rockband 2/GH4 tbh not really bothered about the guitar when i have a perfectly good Ibanez S470 sitting in front of me :).
 
Well even the drumset on GH4 looks better, velocity sensitive drums, seems much quieter than rock bands and then you can create your own drum tracks in the editor.

Hmm, GH4 is not something im putting out of my mind as both still attract me. Guess i will look into the GH4 drumkit.

To be fair though i wont pay a lot for it my limit would be £150 for the 6 piece drumkit and the game itself as i expect it to be more than what the current drumkit goes for.
 
Yeah I am a little concerned about prices. I'll buy whichever is better in the end. I've watched quite a lot of stuff about GH4 where as I've only really seen the track listing for RB2.
 
Hmm I've been flicking through the song lists on both and I must say the one for Rock Band is much more appealing. Could I not buy one of them US playstation store cards and buy songs like that?
 
A certain supermarket is selling GH3 for £44. I'd take the plunge now and think about RB/RB2/GH4 when you've decided whether the gimmick has worn off for you.
