GH1 or 600D

I am looking to do HD video and take some photos and really want to move up to a DSLR for better quality. The Canon 600D sounds great but it has a video limit of about half an hour which is useless if I want to record plays, etc, whereas the Panasonic GH1 doesn't. However, the GH1 is a few years old now.

What should I do? Should I get something else entirely?

Do you really ever want to record more than 30 minutes in on go? Consider that in production video single shots are rarely more than 1 minute long.

Well, I've got the 600D tonight and I am really enjoying using it. The customisability is amazing! I am going to try it out for a couple of weeks and if I don't like it I will send it back and get the GH1 to try.

Probably not. However, if I have to record a play, assembly, etc. I will.
