Got GH3 for Wii on saturday, managed to get to the last boss on medium, and i fail, lots, everytime.

Can do most of the easy ones upto 5 star, excluding raining blood, though i can do the dragon force one quite well :confused:

have seen the videos of people doing them on expert, and can never in a million years see myself doing those lol

any tips to atleast get me upto 5 star on most of the mediums? :)
 
keep playing, theres nothing else to it.

find a song you cant do, and keep doing it until you can do it

or

find a song you can barely do and keep playin it until you can near 100% it
 
Also against the bosses, it's handy to strategically save combos of attacks and wait till certain points in the song to use them
 
Theres a GH3 thread with lots of tips in it if you do a search. Im happy to give hints if there is a specific song section you can't do? More general stuff is just learning the game mechanics, chord switching, hammer ons and pull offs, alternate strumming and the like.

i cant get any :p

gonna use practice mode a bit, until i can atleast do raining blood on normal im not even attempting hard :p
 
Only one bit of advice I can give....

PRACTISE, PRACTISE AND PRACTISE!!!

(did I mention practise btw?)

Its really the only thing you can do mate :)
 
Just practice and play a lot =/. The training mode can help you nail those tricky solo's! *Def. not advice quoted from the game*
 
for the songs you are stuck on, just keep playing them over and over, you will learn the song more and ove time your fingers will get faster and in no time you will be playing hard and then expert.

i never thought i would be doing expert when i got gh2, now ive 5* hard and am 5* most of expert

its just practise practise.
 
For boss battles I find that its best to save your attacks in 3s and wait till a long note section of the song. I've just completed Medium of GH3 myself and this is what I did.
 
I got pretty good on easy but couldnt do medium at all. Little finger wouldnt respond to brain!

Gave it a rest for 3 weeks and loaded up medium and never looked back. I'm around 85% on most songs and improving everyday.

Just needed to reset as I'd got myself into an easy level only hole.
 
got the gf hooked on it as well now :/ shes just started her own band up, im just going back and forth between easy and medium trying to 5* them all, and all the bonus tracks, just managed to actually finish raining blood on medium with about 80% which i was quite proud of :D
 
Wuss out, continue on, get to hard, complete a few tiers, return to boss, laugh your **** off all the way through.
 
On hard/expert its a case of just saving 3 powerups and launching them in a row.

On medium u need to make sure to hit every powerup phase, and use them Just before the CPU manages to pick theirs up to stop them.

Dont be afraid to miss a few notes to focus on hitting the powerup.
