Ghetto Cardboard box PC - How to turn it on?

Hello,

Not sure where to ask this so general it goes. My motherboard died so I ordered another MB but didn't have the cash for another case yet, so instead of sticking it all in the old case I wanted to just see if I could make a cardboard case as a temp one.

I've managed to get everything sorted aside one key element. How to turn the bloody thing on. Does anyone have any suggestions. Equipment Wise, I don't have much.... So don't say 'just wire a switch' as I'm all out of switches!

find where the power switch connects to the motherboard (it'll be two pins), and short them with a flathead screwdriver

Could have removed the switch from the old case? And used that.

i use my car keys to start pc's when i have them on the test bench. its funny starting up your pc with a car key.

Its only 2 pins to short as others have said, you could make a cardboard power switch with a couple of bits of wire and a bit more card

no, because the fan was only spinning at 600rpm. if i have the delta fan on there though so like a v8 fan

I've used my finger before once on an old Dell motherboard, else I normally use the tip of a screwdriver or pen as well. Can't wait to see this cardboard case
