Hi folks

I am trialling the latest Symantec Ghost software. I have a created the ghost boot disc containing all network and storage drivers provided within the ghost software.

I am trying to pull an image off a Toshiba Portege - R830-104 laptop. The laptop boots fine from the boot disc and I get the multicast options, however it is unable to connect to the session on my ghostcast server.

One thing I have noticed on the laptop is that the IP address is 127.0.0.1. This cant be right surely because is that not the address for the loopback adapter?

Can anyone help?

UPDATE: The R830-104 laptop(s) use the Intel 82579LM Gigabit network driver. The driver details are as follows -

system32\DRIVERS\e1c62x64.sys

system32\e1cmsg.dll
system32\NicCo36.dll
system32\NicInstC.dll

Guess its just a case of hunting down the driver and adding it into WinPE drivers list for the ghost boot disc?

Is the Ghostcast server definitely giving out DHCP addresses?

I'd check what Terrier has suggested first, but secondly ensure you haven't set it to that static 127 address somehow.
