Hey all,

Now don't laugh as it's always something that I've wanted to do, but doing one of those ghost hunts next Friday with a mate. Starts 9pm finishes at 5am.

Just wondered if anyone has done one and what it was like =] ?

Don't really know if I believe if any of this stuff, but a goold old scare never harms anyone :)

I'd like to do one, but I know for a fact absolutely nothing would happen. If it's open to the public your bound to get some nutters there who will claim any creak or draft is a spirit and that would do my head in.

Is this like a Witchery Tour in Edinburgh i.e. wandering about the streets being told about old stories that happened with people trying to scare you as you go?

Or is it wandering about a supposedly haunted house looking for ghosts?

I've done the first but not the second and I've got to agree with MookJong, the second would do my head in, the first was bad enough with people screaming.

I used to have a mate who went every week. They basicaly group up and go around a haunted place i think.

I've always wanted to try out of curosity.

i was in the olde trip (pub) in nottingham one sunday night and there were loads of ghost hunters in there. they had basically hired out the pub overnight after it had shut and had free run of the place (with no beer from the taps unfortunately) to search for ghosts and that. they were saying that they do it all round the country in various places - can't remember what they were called though!

that was my regular when i was at uni - loved that place

They use tape recorers to record background noise and then fool themselves into hearing moans etc.

I have a Blue Peter badge and it's not all it's cracked up to be. None of the theme parks give me a discount with it, must be the beard.

It will be fun. Even if the place isn't haunted/ you don't believe/ whatever, people will still be winding each other up and you will probs be scared/ shocked at some point.

I'd love to do one. The Paranormal society round here do them but they charge silly money for the experience.

lol, what did you do to get it??? :p:p

I didn't do anything, just blagged one. I was at the restoration of an old fairground carousel that Blue Peter was filming and met Mark Curry who had a stash of them. He made me touch his doodle for one...............just kidding, he was a nice bloke.

When I was about 12, christ about 13 years ago . Me and a mate used to do this stuff all the time. Growing up with the ghostbusters I guess was were it all sprang about from. Had a tape recorder and even a FM radio mic where we could leave it in alleys and record remotely any strange goings on, we always thought alleys were haunted for some reason!.

We didn't record anything, apart from a pretty freaky voice, but we have always said it must have been one of us messin around :D
