ghost in a shell : which order?

Today i managed to talk my mate into letting me have his ghost in a shell 2, and the 1 Gig complex. Now I've already seen the first movie, was just wondering weather to watch the second then the series, or the series first?

Innocence has nothing to to with GitS:SAC, so it doesnt matter when you watch it (as long as it's after the first movie).

GITS Movie 1, then 2
OR
GITS:SAC then GITS:SAC 2nd Gig
OR
GITS manga then GITS:Man Machine Interface manga.

There are bits from the Manga in both the films and TV series, but they are strictly speaking "alternate" versions and the events from one do not cross over to another much (you might notice an isolated bit from say GITS:SAC loosely matches a bit from the film or manga but that is about it).

I would actually recommend watching the first film, then anything else:) (just make sure you watch film 1 before 2, and SAC before SAC 2nd gig).
 
As has already been said, SAC and the movies are pretty much separate, they can be considered different stories. The stuff I've seen so far tho (GITS, SAC Gig 1 and the first half of Innocence) seems to agree with each other though, if anything SAC Gig 1 happens before the first film since the major is in it, but the order of the 2 doesn't matter since they explain everything in each.

Basically, so long as u watch the first film before the second, and Gig1 before Gig2 it's fine. Incedentally i just finished watching Gig 1 last week, is Gig 2 as good? It's a great series :D
