Hi all,

Got this yesterday and having a problem. During gameplay it's very laggy/jumpy and pretty much unplayable.

System specs:
C2D E6600
8800GTS 320MB
2GB DDR2 RAM
Vista

Updated my graphic card drivers to the latest, also patched the game in hope that could fix it but no avail. I even put everything on Low/Medium, but still the problem persists. Anyone else get such problems, or any suggestions on how to fix it?

Cheers

I've not had any problems running it on high detail with the setup in my sig so there is definitely something wrong!!
I have heard that the latest nvidia drivers are giving some people problems and they have suggested rolling back to the 158.45 drivers to see if that helps!?!?
Also worth checking to see if you have your nvidia control panel set to force AA - GRAW2 doesnt like AA - the best it does is "edge smoothing" :(

Hope this helps....

I haven't tried the demo yet, one thing I did remember was that GRAW already used a lot of GPU memory.

Disable FSAA in the control panel as StevieP said if you have that enabled and perhaps try a lower resolution.

Plays absolutely fine on my almost identical rig using 163.11 drivers. Native 1280x1024 res. Everything maxed, edge smoothing on. Seldom drops below 60fps......

Vista or XP?

mate bought this, his PC has vista with an 8800 gfx card in and it ran flawlessly but i have to say its absolutely pants with poor gfx and poor gameplay, the original ghost recon hasnt been bettered in this series yet

try the latest nvidia drivers and that might help your frame rate 163's i think

ooh, bit harsh....

Graphics are reasonably good (though the grass up close looks ****)
Played it multiplayer coop with a couple of mates - waves to StevieP - and quite enjoyed it. Reminded me of the early Rainbow six stuff (before they went all consoley and ran badly).

yeah same here, its a great looking game? better than a LOT of games out there by a mile

running same gfx card at 1680x1050 and runs very smooth.

lagy/jumpy u say are u sure something isnt taxing your h/d making it lagy/jumpy :s

In all fairness, SOME of the graphics are great (explosions for example) but others are pants (grass etc)

Personally I like it because its very playable - especially with 3 mates farming out orders using the tactical map!!! :D

Cheers for the suggestion guys, going to try and fix it now.

My PC runs everything else I throw at it fine. I was previously using some old drivers and it ran like I stated but updated to the very latest ones (non-beta) this morning and it still rans like poo :(

Anywho, will take a look at the control panel, etc, now :)

[ Edit ]

Just opened the nVidia CP up and apprantely my GPU is idle at 104c.   (This is with no overclocks or anything)
